Program Manager and Site Supervisor Candidates must be available for the full 3:00-6:00 p.m. shift. Grade-Level Assignments Several positions are available to support: Primary Elementary Upper Elementary Middle School Assignments will be based on experience and comfort working with each age group. Position Summary Journey to Healing, Inc. is seeking dependable and engaging Youth Development Facilitators for its after-school program. Facilitators will provide homework help, reinforce reading and math skills through learning games, and lead social-emotional learning, enrichment, and recreational activities. This is not a traditional classroom-teaching or tutoring position. Essential Responsibilities Provide homework help and general academic support Reinforce reading and math through learning games and hands-on activities Follow the program schedule, curriculum, and prepared activity plans Lead social-emotional learning, STEM, arts and crafts, movement, recreation, and team-building activities Create a safe, structured, inclusive, and trauma-informed environment Encourage positive communication, behavior, problem-solving, and peer relationships Supervise students during activities, meals, transitions, and dismissal Prepare materials and organize the program space Maintain attendance and required program documentation Report behavioral, attendance, safety, or student-welfare concerns to the Site Supervisor Collaborate with program staff, interns, vendors, and school personnel Participate in required training, planning sessions, and staff meetings Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries Up to three additional weekly hours may be used for approved planning, training, meetings, preparation, and documentation. Qualifications Experience working with children or adolescents in a school, after-school program, childcare setting, summer camp, mentoring program, or community organization Experience supporting homework, reading, math, or youth-development activities Bachelor's degree or college coursework in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Recreation, or a related field preferred Strong communication, organization, and group-management skills Patience, dependability, creativity, and the ability to engage students Ability to follow program schedules, curricula, and procedures Reliable transportation to the assigned program site Access to a computer for meetings, communication, training, and documentation Ability to complete required local and national background checks Impact Youth Development Facilitators help students strengthen academic and social-emotional skills while participating in a safe, supportive, and engaging after-school program.
