Coordinates services for crime victims and administers programs in accordance with the Victims' Rights Act. Supervises the Victim Advocate and provides support, crisis intervention, and information regarding victims' rights and court processes. Maintains communication with victims, prosecution witnesses, and court personnel; provides referrals for counseling and other needed services; and coordinates victim participation throughout the criminal justice process. Tracks court schedules and case progress; informs victims of hearings, continuances, dismissals, sentencing, and restitution; and communicates victims' wishes regarding restitution and other court matters to judges, attorneys, and probation officers. Solicits and provides victim impact statements to assist the Court in sentencing and assists victims with case depositions. Contacts and coordinates with criminal-case witnesses regarding interviews and testimony. Identifies funding and resources to assist victims with emergency needs and advocates for victims with employers, creditors, landlords, and other entities. Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work, sociology or relate field and two years of experience in a criminal justice agency or victim assistance program; OR Associate degree in a criminal justice program and four years of experience in a criminal justice agency or victim assistance program; OR High school diploma or equivalent and five years of experience in a criminal justice agency or victim assistance program.

Special Requirements:

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle throughout the course of employment. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment physical, drug screening, background check, and fingerprinting. Employees are subject to random drug and alcohol testing throughout their employment.
