Job Description

Prasada Center for Wellbeing is seeking an organized, compassionate, and motivated Day Habilitation Program Coordinator to help oversee our growing DDD Day Habilitation program serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with individuals while also taking on a leadership role. Because we are a smaller program, our Coordinator will have the opportunity to be closely involved in the day-to-day program, get to know our participants and families, support staff, and play an important role in the continued growth of the program. The position will initially be approximately three days per week, with the opportunity to expand to additional days and eventually a full-time leadership position as enrollment grows. Some Saturdays may also be available or required to assist with our weekend respite program. Responsibilities The Program Coordinator will assist with the overall operation of the Day Habilitation program, including: Providing leadership and day-to-day supervision to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) Ensuring appropriate staff-to-participant ratios and coordinating staff coverage Supporting a safe, engaging, person-centered environment for program participants Assisting with the planning and coordination of community outings, recreational activities, independent living skills, social skills activities, and other meaningful programming Monitoring participant goals and ensuring staff are implementing ISP strategies appropriately Reviewing daily documentation and activity records for completeness and accuracy Communicating with families/guardians regarding program needs, activities, concerns, and participant progress Helping maintain employee training, credentialing, and compliance requirements Ensuring DDD policies, agency procedures, health and safety practices, and documentation requirements are followed Assisting with incident reporting and follow-up when necessary Coordinating transportation and community-based activities Helping maintain organized participant and employee records Supporting emergency drills, safety procedures, medication procedures, and other regulatory requirements Assisting with new participant admissions and transitions into the program Participating directly in activities and providing participant support when needed Helping the program remain organized and prepared for DDD reviews and audits Working with Prasada leadership to identify opportunities to improve and grow the program Assisting with occasional Saturday respite programming Qualifications The ideal candidate will: Have experience working with adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities Have previous experience in a DDD Day Habilitation, community-based, residential, respite, or similar program; leadership experience is strongly preferred Be dependable, organized, proactive, and comfortable taking responsibility for day-to-day program operations Have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with participants, families, DSPs, and management Understand the importance of accurate documentation and regulatory compliance Be comfortable supervising and providing direction to staff while also working as part of the team Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Be able to meet all applicable DDD background check, fingerprinting, training, CPR/First Aid, and other employment requirements Knowledge of New Jersey DDD requirements, ISP implementation, medication procedures, incident reporting, and community-based programming is a plus. Schedule This position will begin at approximately three days per week during our Day Habilitation program hours. Additional administrative hours may be available based on program needs. Some Saturday hours may be available or required to support Prasada's weekend respite program. The position has the potential to grow into a full-time Program Coordinator/management role as the Day Habilitation program expands. Pay:
$24.50 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 29.0 per week
