Job Description
NOTE:
Only apply if you have (at the minimum) a associates degree or bachelor's degree in related field (Psychology, Human services etc.) Dawn to Dusk Wellbeing Center, is a well established DDD provider with a mission to serve adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at their home, out in the community and at our Day Program. Our vision is to offer physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing to adults with varying degrees of developmental, cognitive and/or physical needs while also engaging in a variety of activities designed to promote their overall wellbeing. - Maintain the program's routines and structures to provide a safe, healthy, pleasant, professional environment for each individual.
- Ensure safety by providing the level of supervision necessary for each individual as indicated in the Program Description, the individuals' ISPs, etc.
- Provide training, supports, and assistance for each individual to enable her/him to complete daily routines in a safe, healthy, productive and dignified manner. This usually includes social, vocational, and recreational skills, hygiene, toileting, etc.
- Encourage independence by providing both the opportunity and the appropriate levels of skill training for the individuals in categories such as community activities, vocational settings, volunteer work, social skills, etc.
- Assist with serving/preparing lunch and snacks. When needed, uses scales, measuring cups, etc. to ensure correct amounts of foods. Provide the appropriate amount of training, supports, etc. Ensure that meal and snack times are safe, healthy, and pleasant.
- Maintain program inventories as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
At the minimum, a 4 year bachelor's degree in related field (Phycology, Human Services), Experience in a related field is preferred. A valid Driver's License is Required. Full-time (approximately 7am to 4pm)Pay:
up to $21 for someone with a bachelor's degree in related field and relevant experience.- Please only apply if you have a bachelor's degree in a related field and your career ambition aligns with growing in this field and human services in general.
