Job Description
Education Program Coordinator SPAC is seeking an organized, collaborative, and proactive Education Program Coordinator to support the planning, administration, and implementation of arts education programs. This role plays a vital part in ensuring high-quality, inclusive, and meaningful experiences for participants of all ages while advancing SPAC's mission of making the arts accessible to all learners. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment that combines program coordination, logistics management, relationship building, and administrative support. They are detail-oriented and passionate about arts education, community engagement, and creating welcoming environments for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Coordination & Operations- Coordinate the day-to-day implementation of education programs, such as Festival of Young Artists, Summer Nights at SPAC, Summer Arts Camp, Field Trips, school and community partnerships, and other initiatives
- Schedule and support teaching artists, classes, workshops, performances, and events
- Serve as an on-site staff lead for assigned programs and events, ensuring smooth operations and positive participant experiences
- Manage participant registration, enrollment updates, class changes, and refunds
- Coordinate program logistics, including transportation, hospitality, tickets, supplies, materials, and other operational needs
- Support participant recruitment, communications, and marketing efforts
- Create and maintain program materials, records, databases, contact lists, and other resources that support effective program delivery
- Respond to inquiries from participants, families, schools, teaching artists, and community partners in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with budget tracking, purchasing, and expense reconciliation across education programs Partnership & Team Collaboration
- Build and maintain positive relationships with teaching artists, participants, families, schools, and community organizations
- Support the onboarding, scheduling, and coordination of teaching artists, interns, and seasonal staff Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in arts administration, education, nonprofit management, communications, human services, or a related field
- Experience in program coordination, administration, education, community engagement, or a related field is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage logistics in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred
- Ability to build positive relationships with diverse participants, families, teaching artists, and community partners
- Demonstrated interest in arts education, accessibility, and inclusive programming
- Ability to work evenings and weekends in support of programs and events as needed Why SPAC?
