Job Description

  • Participate in assigned recruitment activities in the community as part of the program recruitment plan to encourage enrollment in the program.
  • Assist families in completing applications for the program. Complete follow up activities such as phone calls, mailings and home visits to secure all required elements of program application.
  • Enter applications and required data in Child Plus data system.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the Head Start program and program options. Speak positively in promoting the program in the community and during recruitment activities.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Poverty Guidelines and Head Start Performance Standards related to program eligibility requirements.
  • Assist families with linkages to community resources and services. Develop community partnerships with professional agencies serving Head Start families.
  • Participate in center and parent activities. Assist in the center as needed for classroom or phone coverage.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all areas for children, families, staff, and records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Must possess a minimum of an Associate's Degree in a social-services related filed. Must possess at least one (1) year experience in a related social services field.
  • Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Must possess ability to seek solutions and solve problems.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills such as data entry, email, spreadsheets. Ability to operate telephone, copier/scanner and basic office equipment.
  • Pre-employment background check, drug screen and physical required.
A current, valid driver's license is required. Current vehicle insurance coverage is required.
