GENERAL FUNCTION
: The Senior Program Director is responsible for the development and operations of various programs at the Lansdale Area Family YMCA. This includes, but is not limited to Group Exercise classes, Ninja Zone, Active Older Adult, Health & Social programming and social activities . This position will involve early morning, evening and weekend responsibilities. This job is performed to standard when all work is completed accurately and on time, with minimal supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Recreation or related field, along with a minimum of 5 years' experience working with youth, teen and adult populations in a leadership capacity at a YMCA or other non-profit organization required Prior experience developing and managing a budget a must Experience in program development, implementation, and quality control required Strong customer service; staff supervision; organizational and communication skills required Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community necessary
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and manage the operations of the Group Exercise department, Ninja Zone, Active Older Adult, Health & Social programming and social activities . Responsible for the overall budget of the group exercise, Ninja Zone, and Active Older Adult programming and lobby programming Oversees the hiring, training, and supervising of staff and volunteers in assigned areas. Assure the proper records, trainings, and certifications are maintained on staff, facilities, and the like as required for the organization, Health Department/Governmental agency regulations and guidelines. Ensures high quality member-focused programs through innovative program development, evaluations and on-going staff training. Provides data and reports as required. Maintains facilities and equipment safe working order Ability to process, understand, and respond appropriately to emergency situations Executes strategies to ensure that members and program participants connect with one another and connect with the YMCA. Assist with Association Annual Gift fund raising including coordination, leadership, attainment of goals, recruiting volunteers and staff with full knowledge of YMCA programs, values and services provided to the community Assures compliance with state and local regulations to ensure that program standards are met and safety procedures are followed. Participates in outside community groups and coordinates special events and activities, furthering the cause of the Lansdale Area Family YMCA Serves as Director on Duty as required Perform any other functions necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the
