MAT Program Specialist - Expert Level Help individuals maintain recovery, access treatment, and successfully transition back into the community. We are seeking an experienced MAT Program Specialist to coordinate medication-assisted treatment services, provide counseling and case-management support, and collaborate with correctional and community-based partners throughout the reentry process.

Expert-Level Opportunity The successful MAT Program Specialist will be recognized as an expert in medication-assisted treatment, counseling, social work, and case management. This individual must be able to work independently, provide guidance, troubleshoot challenging situations, and answer questions within their area of expertise. Key Responsibilities Assess reentrants' psychosocial strengths, treatment needs, service eligibility, and potential barriers to recovery. Coordinate MAT referrals and appointments for medication, counseling, and community-based treatment. Communicate with SCI MAT personnel when reentrants experience a community overdose or return for detoxification. Provide social work, counseling, and case-management services consistent with individualized treatment plans. Document contacts, complete required GPRA assessments, and maintain accurate program databases and tracking records. Collaborate with SCI, community corrections, parole, treatment providers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related human services field. Knowledge of professional social work, casework, counseling, and behavioral principles. Understanding of substance-use disorders, MAT services, behavioral health needs, and community resources. Knowledge of HIPAA, state confidentiality requirements, and applicable program policies. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and electronic case-management or documentation systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain effective professional relationships.
