Job Description

Drop-In Center/Peer Specialist Full Time Description:
Full time position available to assist in Mental Health Services Program/ Open Arms Drop-In Center located in Waynesburg, PA. Person will work alongside of multiple agencies and organizations. Must have a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the individuals.
Responsibilities include:
This position is a floater position that will work both the Drop-In Center and the Peer Program. The person in this position will promote the development and improvement of recovery-oriented activities and operations available to members in the Open Arms Drop-In Center. Person will over see and administer the program and to develop and establish new activities and opportunities for its members. Work with the Executive Director and Mental Health Recovery Director in developing and implementing a plan to upgrade capacity of the program. Work with the Mental Health Director and Fiscal Technician in the preparation of annual budget for Open Arms. Monitor cost effectiveness and needs of the program. Person will network with other departments of Greene Arc and community agencies. Educate consumers, community and other organizations by providing workshops, consultations, and educational training services. Oversee record keeping according to requirements of Greene Arc, Inc and Community Care Behavioral Health-PA. Remain actively involved in the recovery-focused efforts as supported by Greene County Human Services, including participation in Greene County's Community Support Program (CSP). The person hired for this position will be an individual with lived experience in mental health or co-occurring disorders, who is trained and certified or able to be trained and certified, to support others in their recovery journey. This person will provide mentoring, advocacy, and recovery planning in addition to promoting independence, employment, recreational activities and rehabilitation or persons with disabilities. This person will be expected to demonstrate good work habits, skills and behaviors while engaging in the CPS Program throughout the County of Greene.
EOE Minimum Qualifications:
State accredited high school diploma/GED required. Supervisory experience preferred. Work experience in the mental health field preferred. Personal experience in mental health recovery required. Must complete the Department-approved Certified Peer Specialist Training. Must have maintained at least 12 months of successful work or volunteer experience, or 24 hours accredited college credits Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record past three yrs. Must Pass Child Abuse History, FBI and Criminal Record Check Clearances. Bi-annual physical

$19.00 - $19.79 per hour
