Staff Full Time Job Description The Associate Admissions Coordinator for the
LMU/DCOM
Physician Assistant (PA) Program is responsible for assisting in the advising of prospective applicants for admission to the PA Program, coordinating/processing and maintaining the applicant files, and maintaining student health and immunization records, and other duties pertaining to student admissions and advancement as assigned. There may be infrequent short-term travel associated with the position that may require overnight stays for purposes of recruiting. Occasional participation in activities of the PA program that occur after normal work hours to include weekends. Position requires frequent interaction with the public to include applicants and others seeking information on our program so strong presentation and verbal skills required. Computer skills required include working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of database data entry and maintenance will be expected and LMU Harrogate database specific training will be provided. Other activities for the program must be supported as defined by the admissions coordinator and program director. Preferred Qualifications
  • experience in graduate or professional admissions processes.

Job Duties
  • promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large;
  • promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students;
  • participate on university committees;
  • assist in program planning and development;
  • interpret, monitor and analyze information regarding operating policies and procedures;
  • adhere to department budget;
  • coordinate academic and/or staff personnel matters;
  • provide assistance to resolution of problems that have a significant impact on the overall goals of the department;
  • respond to telephone inquiries and e-mail inquiries regarding the admissions process;
  • process application information, supplementary applications and supporting documentation;
  • update applicant files and notify students of application status;
  • assist with the planning and implementation of on-campus and off-campus events, orientation and commencement activities;
  • schedule and conduct campus tours;
  • assist with the recruitment plan for the
LMU/DCOM PA
Program;
  • complete required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University;
  • perform other duties as assigned.
