Certified Pharmacy Support Specialist
LOCATION
The Colony, TX | Onsite
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
Pay:
$21.00/hour Full-time, W2 position Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
CST Paid training:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CST (first 4 weeks)
ROLE IMPACT
As a Certified Pharmacy Support Specialist, you'll play an essential role in helping members gain timely, affordable access to the medications they need. Working closely with patients, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and assistance programs, you'll help remove barriers to prescription access while providing exceptional service throughout the process. Success in this role comes from delivering compassionate support, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring every member receives a positive, seamless experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the primary point of contact for members seeking prescription support and medication assistance. Partner with healthcare providers, pharmacies, and patient assistance programs to coordinate approvals and facilitate prescription fulfillment. Manage inbound and outbound communications while adhering to HIPAA, privacy, and program compliance standards. Accurately document member interactions, monitor case progress, and follow up to ensure timely resolution. Work collaboratively with internal teams to improve member outcomes and support the overall success of the Prescription Optimization Program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Active Pharmacy Technician License or Certification valid in at least one U.S. state is required. At least one year of experience in a healthcare, pharmacy, healthcare member services, or healthcare call center environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

Experience working with prescription benefit programs and patient assistance resources. Demonstrated ability to resolve member concerns efficiently while providing compassionate, patient-focused service.
