Job Description

UVA|Northern Virginia is based in the Washington Capital region and supports all of the schools in their educational and non-educational programmatic efforts. These include degree and non-degree programs, research, public talks and community events. The primary responsibilities involve the operational and strategic engagement with a range of clients offering educational programs. These programs can include non-degree and degree-based educational offerings, partnerships with schools and institutes at the University of Virginia and beyond. The position includes client engagement and end-to-end project ownership, from conception of program through delivery and post-program accounting. Responsibilities Scheduling and leading meetings with internal and external partners interested in utilizing the UVA|Northern Virginia facilities. Working with clients to develop proposals and contracts for services to be delivered. Communicating in verbal and written form with internal and external clients. Servicing clients pre-program and in-service needs, including space requests, catering needs, custom-requests for individual clients, and working with facilities personnel to ensure seamless delivery. Partnering with internal teammates in a collaborative and entrepreneurial unit (in which delineated roles will change daily). Delivery of customer service skills, including a willingness to problem-solve to meet customer requests. Accountability for all aspects of program delivery.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree
Experience:
1-3 years of relevant customer-facing or higher education experience
Preferred Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in field related to education, marketing or service operations
Experience:
Direct, customer-facing work in a service operation Physical Demands This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. Salary Range The anticipated hiring range is $55,000-$65,000, commensurate with education and experience.
