Job Description

Join our team and play a key role in managing construction projects from planning through completion. The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating project teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, in accordance with project requirements, and to the client's satisfaction. Responsibilities include overseeing project schedules, costs, documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, permitting, subcontractor coordination, and overall project communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities for the position include the items listed below. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Plan, organize, and manage activities associated with assigned construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout Manage the time, cost, and quality of construction projects to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget Review project plans, drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work to understand and coordinate project requirements Collaborate with Project Superintendent to develop and maintain the construction schedule throughout the project Monitor project progress and identify schedule, cost, coordination, or constructability issues that may impact successful project completion Visit project sites as needed to review progress, assist with constructability issues, and confirm readiness for project milestones and inspections Review and evaluate project documentation including submittals, change orders, requests for information/change events (RFIs/CEs), deferred approvals, and other required project documentation Review RFIs prior to submission and provide direction to ensure questions are complete, accurate, and clearly communicated Review RFI and submittal logs for accuracy and provide direction for timely completion and maintenance Review subcontractor scopes of work, proposals, and project requirements to ensure alignment with contract documents Manage project costs, budgets, change orders, and other financial aspects of assigned projects Review and process subcontractor and vendor change requests and coordinate changes with clients and the project team Coordinate design and construction documents with consultants, architects, engineers, and other project team members as required Coordinate and manage permitting activities, including securing required building permits and licenses Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, review agencies, and other project stakeholders Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project progress, schedules, changes, and outstanding items Collaborate closely with Project Superintendents to ensure field activities meet project specifications, schedules, quality standards, and company requirements Work closely with Project Engineers to ensure project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change events, logs, and other required paperwork are accurate and up to date Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to resolve project issues and maintain project progress Attend facility construction meetings, project meetings, and internal coordination meetings as required Distribute necessary project documentation including schedules, change orders, logs, meeting information, and other project correspondence Ensure meeting action items are documented, assigned, and followed through to completion Assist in resolving construction problems, conflicts, and discrepancies involving plans, specifications, subcontractors, consultants, or field conditions Ensure project information and documentation is accurately maintained within Procore Oversee project closeout activities and ensure required documentation and outstanding project items are completed in a timely manner Develop positive working relationships with subcontractors, coworkers, clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and vendors Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Enforce employee compliance with and adherence to all company policies, including strict compliance with wage and hour and timekeeping requirements Exceed ethical standards Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field and 3 years of related experience; associate's degree and 5 or more years of related work experience; 7 or more years of related construction experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Thorough knowledge of construction processes, trades, project management, and construction documentation Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, schematics, specifications, scopes of work, contracts, and other project documents Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation Ability to effectively coordinate and communicate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, Superintendents, Project Engineers, and other project stakeholders Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional correspondence, reports, and project documentation Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Project, and Excel Experience using Procore Healthcare facility construction experience is preferred Must be located in the Sacramento area or within reasonable commuting distance Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as assigned
Valid Driver's License Salary:
$120,000-$150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
