full-time Assistant Project Manager - Heavy Civil We're looking for an Assistant Project Manager with a few years of construction experience who is ready to take the next step toward becoming a Project Manager. This is a hands-on role with a growing, privately held heavy civil contractor in the Bay Area. What You'll Do Support PMs from project startup through closeout Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Assist with scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and procurement Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and owners Review plans, specifications, and project scopes Spend time in the field supporting project execution What We're Looking For 2-5 years of construction experience Heavy civil, paving, utilities, grading, sitework, or related experience preferred Project Engineer or Assistant PM experience Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related degree preferred Strong communicator who wants to grow into a Project Manager role Why This Opportunity Clear path into Project Management Broad exposure to both field and office operations Opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility early Join an established, privately held contractor with a strong reputation in Northern California
