We're looking for a dependable, customer-focused Budtender to join our San Pablo team. Position Summary The Budtender is the face of our store — guiding customers through our product selection, answering questions, and ensuring every transaction meets state and company compliance standards. This role requires strong product knowledge, excellent customer service, and close attention to regulatory detail. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers, recommending products based on their needs and experience level. Educate customers on cannabis products, potency, consumption methods, and responsible use. Accurately process sales transactions using our point-of-sale system (Meadow). Verify customer age and ID in accordance with state law prior to any sale. Maintain accurate, organized, and properly labeled product displays on the sales floor. Assist with inventory tasks, including cycle counts and stocking, following company SOPs. Ensure all products are properly stickered and scan correctly before being made available for sale. Follow all state (DCC) and company compliance procedures related to product handling, packaging, and labeling. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor and work area. Handle customer questions and concerns professionally, escalating to a manager when needed. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be able to pass a background check as required for cannabis industry employment. Prior retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred. Cannabis industry knowledge or experience is a plus, but not required — training will be provided. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and stand for extended periods. Basic math skills and comfort using point-of-sale/register systems.
