Job Description

Sr. Project Manager - K-12, Higher-ed, DSA, Public Works ConstructionWe are an employee owned construction leader committed to building meaningful projects that strengthen communities. Position OverviewWe are seeking a results-driven Sr. Project Manager to lead complex construction and facility projects across K-12, higher education, commercial, and public works sectors. The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget, and to quality and safety standards while managing client relationships, multidisciplinary teams, regulatory compliance (including OSHPD and HCAI where applicable), and all phases of project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end delivery of multiple construction projects concurrently, including planning, design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

Manage project scope, schedule, budget, cash flow and profitability; develop and maintain realistic project schedules and enforce milestones.

Serve as primary client and stakeholder contact; build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Oversee contract administration, change order negotiation, submittals, RFI responses, and claims avoidance/resolution.

Implement and monitor project controls, risk mitigation plans, and quality assurance/quality control processes.

Coordinate with campus and operations stakeholders for K-12, higher education and public works projects to minimize disruption and ensure functional requirements are met.

Direct and mentor project teams, consultants and subcontractors; assign tasks, review work products, and promote professional development.

Manage safety programs on site and enforce contractor compliance with company and client safety requirements.

Prepare and present regular project status reports, executive summaries and financial forecasts to senior leadership and clients.

Support business development activities by contributing to proposals, estimating, and preconstruction strategies.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field; Masters degree a plus.

Minimum 5+ years of progressive construction project management experience; experience as a Sr. Project Manager or equivalent on public and commercial projects required.

Proven experience managing K-12, higher-education, and commercial/public works projects.

Professional certifications preferred:
PMP, CCM, LEED
AP, or equivalent.

Strong financial acumen: experience managing budgets, forecasts, cost control and profitability.

Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and client-management skills.

Proficient with project management and construction software (e.g., MS Project or Primavera, Procore, Bluebeam, Excel).Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional teams and deliver projects under tight schedules.

Valid drivers license; ability to travel to project sites as required.
