Klover Architects is expanding and on a mission to find a strong Architect Professional in our Project Leader role who is responsible for fulfilling the projects our customers entrust to us. We are professionally registered in 50 states and the District of Columbia providing innovative design solutions for the real world. Something About the PositionThe Project Lead partners with the Project Manager and Project Designer on small to large-scale project types in a very collaborative environment. This role largely focuses on retail and restaurant projects and is accountable for team communication and responsible for the issuance of content of deliverables, technical content of Klover documents and coordination of disciplines including consultants and for staff producing documents. Primary ResponsibilitiesFosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Leadership Team Responsible for communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary Ensures that construction detail documentation conforms to quality assurance, quality control and Klover best practice standards Performs as team leader on certain projectsCoordinates use and tracks shared electronic documentation and files with project team, clients and consultants.
Assists in planning and conducting work making minor adaptations and modifications to complete working drawing set(s)Writes reports and memos to consultants and vendors to issue changes and track resolutionsProvides technical support and project communications to team as requiredMay attend on-site visits, field reviews and project meetings and may prepare and coordinate the review of contractor's schedules, submission of shop drawings and samplesProvides support to all team members for specific market, discipline, and other areas of expertiseParticipates in team meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines, schedule adherence, technical issuesPrepares meeting minutes of consultant coordination meetingsOther duties as assigned Education & Skills You Need to Bring With YouFrom a technical perspective, our ideal candidate will bring the following skills & experience with them:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is required 3 to 5 years related experience in architecture preferred Knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriatenessKnowledge of architectural building systemsExperience in retail and restaurant projects preferredProficiency in Revit and AutoCADProficiency in Microsoft Office SuitesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively meet deadlinesMotivated, self-directed, problem solver and ability to work in both individual and team settings Less than 10 percent travel to local construction sites Something About our TeamWe're a collaborative group, getting things done together, enjoying our collegial environment and working with each other.
