Anesthesia Service Line - Special Projects Coordinator

Job Description

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Chairman of the Department of Anesthesia and the Vice President of Surgical Services, the Service Line Special Project Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the achievement of divisional goals through maintaining primary responsibility for: Simultaneous oversight of multiple special projects Working with the Chairman of Anesthesia and the VP of Surgical Services to maintain all BMC Anesthesia clinical and non-clinical operational policies. Maintaining, in concert with the Chairman of the Department of Anesthesia and the VP of Surgical Services, all training materials necessary to operate the Anesthesia Practice Assist in designing, producing, and acting upon standard reports to audit the progress and outcomes of special projects. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
(Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
A minimum of 5 of broad experience in the healthcare industry and an Associates Degree in Business Administration or a related field. Must have a clear understanding of the healthcare industry as it relates to hospital, and Surgical / Anesthesia practices. In particular experience in engaging and collaborating with management and staff in projects and initiatives is required. Knowledge of a systems approach to managing quality and service improvement projects is essential. Must possess knowledge of complex infrastructure of the organization in order to facilitate development and improvements compatible with the BMC Mission and Vision.
Education and Training:
Associates Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
License, Certification & Registration:
N/A Other Requirements:
Presentation skills, project management, database, ability to review and provide analysis of statistical information. Ability to use all Microsoft Office applications.
