$25/hour Long term contract to hire Position Summary A leading industrial automation company is seeking an Installation Coordinator to support the successful installation and launch of complex automated manufacturing systems at customer facilities. This position plays a critical role in moving projects from in-house build and preparation through field installation, commissioning, and completion . The Installation Coordinator serves as a central point of coordination between engineering, manufacturing, project management, field teams, contractors, subcontractors, and customers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts in a fast-paced technical environment. This individual should be able to anticipate installation needs, track project progress, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and help resolve issues before they affect safety, cost, or schedule. Key Responsibilities Installation & Project Coordination Coordinate installation activities for automated manufacturing equipment and systems from project preparation through field completion. Support the transition of projects from the in-house build environment to customer-site installation. Review drawings, technical documentation, project specifications, schedules, and installation requirements to ensure field activities are properly planned. Develop and maintain installation schedules, milestones, manpower requirements, and project priorities. Coordinate activities between engineering, manufacturing, project management, field service, customers, contractors, and subcontractors. Track equipment, materials, tooling, manpower, and other resources required for successful installation. Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential schedule, resource, or installation issues. Field Execution & Customer Support Assist with coordinating field personnel, contractors, subcontractors, and other resources during installation and launch. Coordinate customer-site requirements, including site access, equipment deliveries, manpower, safety requirements, tooling, and installation logistics. Communicate project updates, schedule changes, installation requirements, and outstanding issues to internal and external stakeholders. Help identify, escalate, and resolve installation-related problems, delays, and resource conflicts. Participate in customer and internal project meetings and provide updates on installation readiness, progress, and action items. Travel to customer locations as needed to support installation, launch, and project completion activities. Project Tracking & Documentation Maintain accurate installation schedules, project documentation, field records, status reports, and action-item tracking. Work closely with project management to monitor installation labor, travel, costs, and other project-related expenses. Track project milestones and follow up on outstanding activities to help keep installations on schedule and within budget. Support commissioning, final installation activities, project closeout, and customer handoff. Required Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited two-year college or university or equivalent relevant experience . Experience in project coordination, manufacturing, construction, equipment installation, automation, or a related technical environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and understand technical drawings, documentation, schedules, and project specifications. Strong problem-solving, follow-up, and coordination skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word . Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, technicians, contractors, customers, and other stakeholders. Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites as required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with industrial automation, robotics, controls, tooling, assembly equipment, or manufacturing systems . Previous experience coordinating equipment installations, system launches, or manufacturing projects. Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, field installation teams, or customer-site personnel. Experience with project scheduling, manpower planning, cost tracking, or project reporting. Familiarity with automotive manufacturing or other high-volume manufacturing environments . Experience with industrial robots or other automated manufacturing systems.
