Hiring Department Department of Dean-Ellis Fischel Cancer Center Consortium Job Description Ellis Fischel Cancer Center at the University of Missouri is dedicated to advancing cancer research, education, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. Through collaboration among researchers, clinicians, faculty, staff, and community partners, we work to improve outcomes and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by cancer. We are seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and motivated Program/Project Support Coordinator I to join our team and provide coordination and administrative support for a variety of projects, programs, and partnership initiatives. Job Description The Program/Project Support Coordinator I will provide day-to-day coordination and support for projects and initiatives within Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. This position will assist with project planning, implementation, tracking, documentation, communication, and reporting to help ensure projects remain organized and progress toward established goals and deadlines. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with researchers, clinicians, faculty, administrative staff, and internal and external partners. This position is ideal for an individual who is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, communicates effectively, and enjoys working in a collaborative and mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and support project activities, schedules, resources, meetings, equipment, and related information. Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to identify project requirements, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and priorities. Assist with developing and maintaining project plans, timelines, milestones, tracking tools, and other project management resources. Monitor project activities and deadlines, provide follow-up on outstanding items, and communicate potential concerns or delays to appropriate team members. Serve as a central point of contact for routine project communication and help facilitate communication among team members and stakeholders. Work closely with researchers, clinicians, faculty, administrative staff, and partners to support project and program objectives. Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, records, correspondence, reports, and other materials. Assist with the preparation of project proposals, presentations, reports, budgets, and other supporting documentation. Coordinate and participate in project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas and materials, documenting meeting minutes, and tracking action items. Follow up with team members to support completion of assigned tasks, deliverables, and project milestones. Assist with identifying and addressing routine project issues and escalate concerns when appropriate. Collect, organize, and track project information and data to support reporting, evaluation, and decision-making. Support communication and coordination with internal departments, community organizations, and other external partners as needed. Provide general administrative and program support related to EFCC initiatives and special projects. Perform other related duties as assigned in support of the mission and goals of Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. Preferred Skills and Competencies The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively are important for success in this role. Candidates should be comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders and handling changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, is preferred. Experience with project coordination, program support, research, healthcare, higher education, or a related environment would be beneficial. Why Join EFCC? Shift Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, project management, or related field. Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role, preferably in a healthcare or research setting. Strong understanding of project management techniques and methods. Excellent time management and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software. Familiarity with medical/scientific terminology and the cancer research field is highly desirable. Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
Anticipated Hiring Range Salary Range:
$19.25 - $26.00 hourly
