CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT INTERN

About the Position Our summer internship program provides hands-on exposure to the electrical construction industry while preparing you for your career after graduation. Working closely with a project manager, youll gain experience across project coordination, safety, estimating, scheduling, customer communication, and financial performance. This opportunity is designed for students who are excited to build a career in electrical construction. National Project Site This position is based on a National project site and is not tied to a specific ArchKey office location. Your internship assignment may be at an active project site anywhere in the United States, depending on business needs. Examples may include Texas, Minnesota, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Ohio, or other locations across the country. Interns should be prepared for temporary relocation and to work primarily at their assigned project site. Specific project location and assignment details will be shared during the interview process. Day in the Life As an intern, youll support the project team and gain exposure to the day-to-day work involved in delivering a successful electrical construction project.
You may:
Support project planning, scheduling, documentation, and coordination. Assist with estimating, bid proposals, purchasing, payments, and change orders. Work with project managers, superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, general contractors, and customers. Gain hands-on exposure to project safety practices and OSHA requirements. Help monitor project progress, budget, quality, and schedule. Assist with engineering and other project-related activities as needed. Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in a degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field. Strong interest in pursuing a career in the electrical construction industry. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Prior construction experience is a plus. Experience with Bluebeam Revu, Accubid, or other construction technology is a plus. Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
