- Journeyman provides training, event planning, coordination, and delivery-control support to the
USSTRATCOM
National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC) Training Office. This position applies E-4B Battle Staff experience to exercise preparation, schedules, scenarios, and documentation. The ideal candidate coordinates interrelated training activities and produces accurate documentation in a classified environment. Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate assigned training, certification, and exercise milestones, preparation tasks, and materials under the NAOC Annual Training Plan. Support external coordination for USSTRATCOM, Joint Staff, interagency, national-level, and authorized SAP exercises as directed. Assist scenario development and maintain assigned role-player scripts, timelines, playbooks, and training packages. Coordinate Nuclear Planning and Execution System (NPES) scenario requirements with the on-site NPES contractors, who retain their maintenance, account-creation, configuration, and scenario-file-operation responsibilities. Prepare assigned progress, schedule, man-hour, and funds inputs; track training-product readiness, changes, and corrective actions. Support meeting and trip reports and presentation submissions within the required timeframes, including trip reports within five working days after travel. Assist all training functions and certification/evaluation preparation; Government personnel retain performance evaluation and assessment responsibility. Coordinate exercise schedule adjustments within approved effort; perform trained classified-material courier duties during designated events. Minimum Qualifications A minimum of three years of NAOC Battle Staff experience, including at least three years within the last five calendar years, plus an additional five years of demonstrated relevant experience within USSTRATCOM or the National Military Command System (NMCS). Required recency may be demonstrated through Operational Team service, or a former NAOC Battle Staff member training Operational Team members. Prior operational NAOC Battle Staff service on the E-4B platform. United States citizenship and a current Top-Secret clearance with NC2/ESI, SCI, and SAP access eligibility.
