has an immediate opening for a project controls specialist in Cranford, NJ. The Project Controls Specialist supports engineering, procurement, and construction activities through planning, scheduling, and budget management for utility and substation projects. Responsibilities include assist Project Managers in timely development and maintenance of schedules; maintaining budgets in Enterprise Resource Planning system; modifying appropriate reporting systems with project changes; preparing monthly reports indicating budget and schedule status; reviewing and evaluate project performance reports, including identification of trends and recommend corrective actions; supporting continuous improvement opportunities demonstrating efficiency and cost savings to company and clients; and ensuring timely creation and maintenance of resource loaded project schedules and accurate reports for clients and project teams.Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related field with 5-10+ years of experience or equivalent combination. Significant background in all components of project controls necessary. Strong written and oral communication skills and analytical capabilities. Prior supervisory experience required. Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and change approach/method to best fit the situation. Data management capabilities in areas such as ODBC, SQL, Power BI is valuable but not required. Successful applicant may be subject to client mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel may be required, therefore, the successful applicant will be subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements.
