Position Summary The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams in the development, design, and implementation of new products, processes, or facility upgrades within the food processing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure all projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with food safety and quality regulations (e.g., HACCP, FSMA).

Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Execution:

Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining scope, setting goals, estimating costs, and creating detailed schedules with critical paths.

Budget and Resource Management:

Monitor project budgets, forecast costs, allocate resources effectively, and manage equipment procurement and vendor coordination.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Ensure all project activities and outcomes meet internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements, including food safety and hygiene compliance.

Team Leadership and Coordination:

Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams (R&D, operations, engineering, sales, quality assurance, etc.) to foster collaboration and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Stakeholder Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external personnel, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and changes.

Risk Management and Problem Solving:

Proactively identify potential risks, resolve operational issues or delays in production, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Commissioning and Handover:

Oversee on-site installation, commissioning, and final handover, including managing documentation.

Qualifications and Skills Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial), Food Science, Business Management, or a related field is preferred; an advanced degree is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 2+ years of project management experience, preferably within the food processing, manufacturing, or a related industry.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of food industry regulations, quality standards (HACCP, SQF, FSMA), and general construction best practices in food manufacturing. Proficiency with project management software (Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Familiarity with process functionality, packaging design, automation, and control systems is beneficial.
