The Intern will report to the Contract Division Manager and support the Department with multiple projects, reports, as well as with day-to-day activities. This is an on-site position. This role is based in our Lake Oswego branch. Job Qualifications Must be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Fire Science, Project Management, or other Construction/Fire Protection related degree. Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook Proficiency or knowledge in AutoCad related programs is a plus Possess sound communication skills; both verbal and written Ability to coordinate and work well with others Must be able to pass a post-offer drug test and background check Must possess a valid driver's license and ability to drive Willing to learn project management methodologies and phrases Job Responsibilities Prepping project related submittal packages Performing data entry May involve performing duties of a Fire Protection Designer Perform Site visits and Audits May require lifting objects up to 25lbs Other duties and special projects as assigned Assist in inter department coordination and help as needed All qualified applicants with Western States Fire Protection Company will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation and gender identity, national origin or status as a qualified individual with a disability or protected veteran.
