Travel Electrical Project Manager Job Description We are seeking an experienced Traveling Electrical Project Manager to lead and oversee electrical construction projects supporting large-scale mission-critical facilities throughout the United States. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, client communications, safety compliance, and project closeout. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing complex commercial, industrial, or mission-critical electrical projects and be comfortable traveling extensively to project sites as business needs require. Responsibilities Manage electrical construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and reporting metrics. Lead project planning efforts, including manpower forecasting, procurement strategies, and risk mitigation. Coordinate with field supervision, subcontractors, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Monitor project productivity, costs, and performance to maintain profitability and schedule adherence. Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders to ensure compliance with project requirements. Lead owner meetings, progress updates, and executive-level project reporting. Negotiate and manage change orders, scope modifications, and subcontract agreements. Ensure adherence to all company safety policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Support commissioning activities and coordinate turnover documentation for project completion. Travel to project sites nationwide and provide leadership across multiple active projects as required. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred. Minimum 7+ years of electrical construction project management experience managing large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects. Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and mission-critical infrastructure. Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontractor performance. Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with project management software, scheduling platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to travel extensively, including long-term assignments at project locations throughout the United States. Additional Skills & Qualifications Data center or mission-critical construction experience. Experience managing projects exceeding $20M in electrical scope. Knowledge of commissioning and startup activities for critical electrical infrastructure. Electrical trade background or prior field leadership experience. Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction management platforms. Work Environment This role requires willingness to travel up to 100% based on project assignment needs. Candidates should be comfortable working from project sites for extended durations and be flexible to relocate temporarily during major project phases. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Falls, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
