SCHOOL BASED HOME CARE AIDE

(HCA) Covering school and home time with a pediatric client in Wyoming County Interim Healthcare of NEPA is seeking a School Based Home Care Aide (HCA) to attend school with a male student with special needs in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania.

MUST HAVE PEDIATRIC EXPERIENCE AND EXPERIENCE WITH BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT AND PERSONAL CARE.

School Based Home Care Aides (HCAs) are members of the interdisciplinary team who provide hands-on personal care, report changes in the client's condition, perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services, and provide incidental/instrumental activities of daily living to clients in the home setting as evaluated/delegated and as permitted by the policies and procedures of Interim HealthCare and any other federal, state and local law or regulation. Falls, PA (attends school in Tunkhannock, pa) Monday through Friday 7:45 am to 4:00 pm (hours may vary per day, time of year) meet child at school, follow transportation home home time when school is not in session; half days, holidays, snow days, summertime attend summer camp throughout summer months 1:1 employee to patient ratio Company benefits: Health Insurance, Accrued PTO, Referral Bonuses up to $500, flexible scheduling, weekly pay, direct deposit Essential Functions of the School Based Home Care Aide (HCA): Attend school with a child; providing guidance throughout the school day with school work, toileting, etc. Assist with activities for daily living during school hours and at home Support and guide through behaviors according to the clients IEP Follow care plan and maintain proper documentation according to Pennsylvania State Laws Communicate important information regarding changes in client behavior to supervisor when needed Most importantly provide quality care and a safe environment Minimum Requirements for the School Based Home Care Aide (HCA): Must have a Highschool Diploma or GED Must have one (1) year experience with Pediatrics Must have one (1) year experience working with Special Needs Must have a reliable form of transportation Must be willing to undergo pre-employment screenings; drug screening, criminal background, fingerprints, child abuse history, physical, etc. Interim HealthCare is America's leading provider of home care and healthcare staffing.
