The successful candidate will manage HVAC, plumbing and piping scopes on commercial and industrial sites, coordinating design, procurement, construction, commissioning and client communication to deliver projects on time, on budget and to quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Lead mechanical project planning and execution, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation and risk management. Manage and coordinate HVAC, plumbing and piping trades, subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely, compliant work and effective task sequencing. Oversee review and coordination of mechanical design drawings, specifications and shop drawings; coordinate with engineering and design teams to resolve technical issues. Prepare, review and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, change orders and commercial terms to maintain profitability. Develop and maintain project schedules using industry tools; monitor progress and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays. Manage procurement activities for mechanical equipment and materials, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance. Conduct on-site inspections, supervise installation and commissioning activities, and enforce quality control and construction standards. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, permits, safety regulations and company policies; lead safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture. Serve as primary client and stakeholder contact for mechanical scope, providing regular status updates and addressing issues promptly. Prepare and submit project reports, progress documentation, and closeout deliverables including as-built drawings and warranties. Mentor and lead project engineering and field teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum 5 years experience managing mechanical construction projects (commercial/industrial) with responsibility for HVAC, plumbing and piping scopes. Proven experience with project budgeting, scheduling and commercial management; experience with change order negotiation. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping specifications, HVAC equipment, plumbing codes and industry standards. Familiarity with construction management software (MS Project, Primavera, Procore) and ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and BIM models. Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills with a client-focused mindset. Demonstrated commitment to safety; OSHA 10/30 or equivalent certification preferred. Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM or PMP-equivalent are an asset. Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
