GSF Properties Inc. is looking for an Assistant Manager in Bakersfield, CA, to join our dynamic property management team! Are you a motivated professional looking to grow your career in property management? We are seeking a customer-focused, detail-oriented team member who is passionate about resident satisfaction, operational excellence, and making a positive impact within a thriving apartment community. In this role, you will work closely with the Property Manager to support the daily operations of the community and deliver exceptional service to current and prospective residents. Responsibilities include assisting with leasing activities, resident retention efforts, administrative functions, and initiatives that drive occupancy and overall property performance. The ideal candidate has strong customer service and communication skills, is comfortable using technology, and can quickly learn new systems and processes. Leasing experience is preferred. We are looking for a self-starter and critical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and enjoys a diverse role that combines administrative, leasing, and resident-facing responsibilities. The schedule for this position is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, for a total of 36 hours per week. The pay range for this position is $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities Assist the Property Manager with the day-to-day operations of the community. Provide outstanding customer service to current and prospective residents. Conduct property tours and assist with leasing, applications, and move-in procedures. Support resident retention efforts by addressing concerns and helping create a positive living experience. Process paperwork, maintain resident files, and ensure accurate data entry. Collect rent payments and assist with delinquency follow-up when needed. Answer phones, respond to emails, and handle resident and prospect inquiries professionally. Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure work orders and resident requests are addressed promptly. Assist with marketing efforts and resident events to promote community engagement. Ensure compliance with company policies, fair housing regulations

Requirements:
Job Requirements - Assistant Manager Previous property management, leasing, or customer service experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service skills with a resident-focused approach. Proficient with computers and able to learn new software and technology quickly. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations is preferred. Ability to work the scheduled hours, including Saturdays.
