Assistant Residential Manager Helping People Excel - 3.3 Cheshire, CT Job Details Full-time $20 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications CPR Certification Passenger vehicle Copy machines English High school diploma or GED Driver's License First Aid Certification Fax machines Faxing First aid and CPR Full Job Description Must be able to perform all job functions and duties that are required of the Residential Direct Care Staff. Must hold and maintain all required certifications throughout employment. Participates in developing the Overall Plan of Service for the resident, including developing and implementing individual programs. Implement overall plan of service ensuring that all programs are implemented in a timely manner that all staff are in serviced, follow individual programs and document accordingly. Monitor medical, physical, and behavioral changes in individuals on a daily basis. Document and report any and all changes to the Residential Manager and/or Director of Operations, Nurse, Behaviorist, as needed. Assure that administration of medication according to policy occurs. Ensure that it is documented properly. Report all errors of medication dispensation or documentation according to policy. Report all incidents immediately. Ensure that written dietary plans are followed for each resident. A minimum of 5 days food/water supply is available at all times. Ensure the cleanliness of the home, inside and outside. Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of agency vehicle and request any maintenance needs as they occur. Maintain HPE's residents right to privacy including knocking before entering home, resident's bedroom or any other private area and adhere to HPE's Confidentiality Policy. Conduct oneself in a professional manner when interacting with supervisors, co-workers, consultants, families, guardians and members of the community. Conduct monthly staff meetings, documenting content and attendance. Provide mandatory training to all staff i.e. resident's programs, individual needs, and all aspects of their care. Ensure that residents follow a daily schedule, which includes: a variety of community-based outings, programs, leisure activities and positioning guidelines. Maintain staff schedule to program ratio, and ensure that staff is in place at all times. Fill staffing absenteeism. Report absenteeism and any staff change to the Program Coordinator on a daily basis. Be available for On-Call and be responsible for the overall running of the residential house. Report monthly to agency via tickler, re: staff in-services, Fire Drill Report, alarm testing (if appropriate), verification of emergency bags and their content. Monitor compliance to safety requirements. Conduct fire drills monthly, or delegate appropriately to encompass all shifts. Maintain fire extinguishers and other safety related systems. Ensures that all necessary paperwork is completed and distributed appropriately, correctly, accurately and in a timely manner, including Incident Reports and timesheets. Conduct monthly staff meetings. Be responsible for the accountability of client daily funds, and petty cash including receipt accountability. Transport client as scheduled i.e. doctors appointment, recreational outing, day program, work, etc. Ensure that the program remains in compliance with DDS regulations and be present at all inspections if requested. Must adhere to Helping People Excel, Inc.'s policies and procedures. All other duties as assigned, which may include working different shift or different location based on need.
