Senior Residential Manager Hours Expected:

Exempt Summary:
The Senior Residential Manager will oversee up to 4 residential locations (Elm 1, 2, 3 and Sherman Drive) They will be responsible for all aspects of the overall operations of their assigned program locations, including the provision of quality client care, management staff development, ongoing training and performance, licensing compliance, financial management and quality management.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensures that services are culturally responsive and are provided in a manner that optimizes independence and individuals' choice.
- Provides supervision to Residential Managers and evaluates work performance of those supervised as specified by agency personnel policies.
- Coach support staff in real time
- Maintains positive professional relationships with State agencies including DDS, EOEA, EOHHS, as well as staying current on State initiatives relevant to programs supervised
- Provides emergency back-up to program staff as needed and provides for crisis prevention and intervention with individuals served as needed
- Participates in interagency committees and information sharing meetings
- Ensures compliance with DDS licensing regulations as well as the internal Quality Assurance reviews and recommendations.
- Hiring, supervising, training, and scheduling of residential managers at your assigned locations.
- Capable of working at various locations as assigned and needed.
- Weekly payroll submission monitoring for employees supervised and assisting managers with electronic payroll timesheets and troubleshooting.
- Monitoring overtime usage and staffing patterns
- Ensure follow through on all medical and therapeutic recommendations for individuals served.
- Review manager monthly summaries for completeness.
- Review ISP with Residential Manager and ensure timely submission of ISP documentation.
- Monitor and ensure any behavior plans, medication treatment plans, and special protocols are properly implemented and up to date.
- Available to train individuals served in their human rights and ensure that those human rights are always observed
- Act as liaison to social security/insurance as needed.
- Work with DDS, families, guardians and other service providers to provide quality care for all individuals served
- Work collaboratively with the Residential Nurse, PBIS Clinician and Residential Management team.
- Manage and document any emergency situations that occur and ensure incident reporting policies and procedures are followed.
- Ensure all state, federal and agency policies and procedures regarding
COVID-19
are followed at your assigned locations.
- Complete monthly record review for all assigned individuals.
- Conduct monthly MAP audits and medication observations as scheduled
Additional Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Participate in monthly supervision with the Residential Services Director
- Conduct monthly supervisions with House Managers and assistant house managers
- Attend required Residential Manager meetings
Qualifications:
Education & Experience Required:
- BA/BS in related field preferred with at least 1 year experience in the human service field.
- 5-7 years previous work experience in human service setting in lieu of educational requirement with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Valid MA Driving License
- MAP certification Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience working with individuals who have developmental challenges
- Ability to speak and write English clearly and accurately in order to keep documentation up to date and understandable.
- Commitment to providing support/advocacy to individuals who are challenged by a disability
- Knowledge of community resources
- Ability to assess the skills and needs of individuals served
- Ability to understand and present reports on supports provided
- Understanding of the DDS system and its documentation requirements including but not limited to ISP preparation, incident reporting and daily record keeping
- Understanding of augmentative communication, adaptive equipment, and supportive devices
- Ability to assist in development and implementation of PBS Plans
- Ability to develop and implement training and curriculum for residential managers

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Ability to provide direct care in activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting and

- Ability to record data using a computer, enter time worked into an electronic system, receive and send email required, proficient in Microsoft Office.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
