A Property Manager manages operations for an apartment building or complex. Recruits and screens tenants for apartments, collects rents and security deposits, responds to requests or complaints from tenants, supervises maintenance and repairs; oversees payment of bills, insurance, taxes and recordkeeping. Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Job Description

The Leasing Manager leads a team of leasing agents whose goal is to provide excellent customer service while running leasing operations. In tandem with other staff and managers, they will work together to provide the best experiences for residents . As Leasing Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform excellent customer service with a good attitude Create a marketing plan using sites like apartments.com, social media, and various promotions, events, and outreach at the WMU campus and KVCC and K College Employ & perform sales techniques & follow up including phone calls, emails & texting Giving tours of apartments Tweaking roommate match forms as needed to ensure roommate matches are successful Answer phone calls, respond to emails/texts and generally assist everyone we meet. Clerical work such as filing, copying & mailing. Assist management with additional duties if asked. Inspect & document apartments. Use Rent Manager software & the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Managing workbooks detailing resident placement and roommate matching. Oversee leasing specialist and their day-to-day tasks. Assist leasing specialists and community assistants with comments/complaints that need escalated customer service. Approving/Denying residential applications. Construct a monthly schedule for leasing staff.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Some student housing leasing experience is required. Some college or a degree is a plus Full time - bonuses and commissions, discounted housing, and health insurance.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
