Community Manager Position Summary We are looking for an energetic, outgoing, and sales-driven Leasing Manager to join the onsite team at a residential community in Lincoln, Nebraska. This is a hands-on leasing and sales position for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and likes seeing their efforts directly impact results. The Leasing Manager will work closely with the Community Manager to drive leasing activity, manage prospect follow-up, support marketing efforts, and help the property meet or exceed occupancy and renewal goals. The right person for this role is personable, organized, competitive, creative, and willing to jump in wherever needed. You should be comfortable picking up the phone, asking for the lease, following up consistently, and helping create excitement around the community. Responsibilities Drive leasing activity and help achieve established occupancy, pre-leasing, and renewal goals. Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through application, lease execution, and move-in. Respond quickly to incoming leads through phone, email, text, online platforms, and other communication channels. Maintain consistent prospect follow-up and actively manage the leasing pipeline. Conduct engaging property tours both in person and virtually. Build rapport with prospects, identify their needs, overcome objections, and confidently ask for the lease. Assist with training, coaching, and development of leasing team members. Help establish daily and weekly leasing priorities and keep the team focused on results. Build positive relationships with prospects, residents, coworkers, vendors, and community partners. Plan and execute leasing events, renewal campaigns, resident events, outreach efforts, and other property initiatives. Maintain an active and engaging presence across property social media platforms. Create flyers, social graphics, videos, and other marketing materials using Canva or similar platforms. Develop creative marketing and outreach ideas to generate traffic and increase leasing activity. Maintain accurate prospect, traffic, leasing, and follow-up information within property management and CRM systems. Assist with managing the property's online reputation and responding to reviews. Complete regular competitor market surveys and stay informed on local pricing, availability, concessions, and leasing trends. Assist with renewal and resident retention efforts. Participate in move-in, move-out, and other major property events. Assist with applications, lease documents, deposits, fees, and other leasing-related responsibilities as needed. Work closely with the Community Manager to identify opportunities to improve leasing performance. Maintain a positive, professional, and solutions-focused attitude while contributing to a strong team environment. Assist with additional property operations as needed. Qualifications A genuine passion for sales, customer service, and working with people. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to confidently communicate with prospects in person, by phone, text, email, and online. Highly organized with strong follow-up skills and attention to detail. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Competitive and motivated by achieving goals. Ability to lead by example and help motivate others. Strong understanding of social media and digital marketing. Experience with Canva or similar platforms is preferred. Comfortable learning and using property management, CRM, and other technology platforms. High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in leasing, sales, hospitality, customer service, or property management is preferred. Experience with high-volume leasing or off-campus housing is a plus, but not required. Entrata experience is a plus, but not required. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, particularly during peak leasing and move-in periods. Compensation & Benefits Competive hourly wage , based on experience and qualifications, with overtime eligibility as applicable. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for leasing, renewal, occupancy, and performance-based bonus opportunities.
