Summary We are seeking a grounded, organized, and empathetic Resident Mentor Supervisor to lead our peer support team. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our sober living environment, ensuring the safety of our residents, and mentoring our Resident Mentors. The ideal candidate has a passion for recovery, a strong understanding of the 12-step process, and the ability to maintain a structured, therapeutic community. Shift Availability Standard hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM
  • 4:30 PM; however, this role requires flexible availability for evening, weekend, and holiday check-ins to ensure staff performance standards and provide emergency operational support.
Key Responsibilities Staff Leadership:
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of Resident Mentors. Coordinate weekly staff meetings and manage the shift schedule.
Program Integrity:
Ensure all house rules and safety protocols are strictly followed. Conduct or oversee random drug/alcohol screenings.
Resident Support:
Mediate conflicts between residents, provide peer-level crisis intervention, and facilitate house meetings.
Operational Oversight:
Conduct weekly "white glove" facility inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety. Coordinate with maintenance for any necessary repairs.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate logs of resident progress, incident reports, and medication oversight in compliance with regulations.
Quality Control:
Audit RM documentation (shift logs, incident reports, and UDS records) to ensure they meet state licensing or accreditation standards.
De-escalation Lead:
Serve as the primary point of escalation for high-tension situations, utilizing Motivational Interviewing (MI) and trauma-informed care to resolve conflicts without unnecessary discharges.
Requirements Experience:
At least 2 years in an SUD residential setting with a history of taking on "Lead" duties (e.g., training others, managing the schedule, or leading house meetings).
Leadership:
Proven ability to manage a team and hold others accountable with compassion.
Clinical Literacy:
High comfort level with recovery terminology (Stages of Change, CBT/DBT basics, 12-Step/Smart Recovery) and the ability to teach these concepts to junior staff.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to remain calm under pressure.
Tech Savvy:
Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Record) software or high-level spreadsheet management for tracking resident data.
Certification:
