Job Description

Dietary Manager | Senior Living Community | Experience Required We are looking for an experienced Dietary Manager to oversee daily dining operations at our long-term care community in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for coordinating meal preparation, supervising food service activities, and ensuring residents receive nutritious, appealing meals that meet their individual dietary needs. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and committed to maintaining excellent food quality, sanitation, and resident satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Manage food ordering, meal production, and daily dining schedules to ensure efficient and timely service. Oversee kitchen cleanliness, sanitation procedures, and compliance with food safety regulations. Implement and maintain standardized recipes appropriate for the facility's size and resident population. Inspect meal trays before distribution to verify dietary accuracy, presentation, and appropriate garnishing. Monitor residents' dietary intake and report relevant nutritional concerns to the Dietary Consultant and/or Director of Nursing. Conduct initial nutritional screenings, discuss prescribed diets with residents, document food preferences, and support a positive dining experience. Coordinate the preparation and delivery of regular meals and therapeutic diets while ensuring residents' nutritional information is accurately maintained in their clinical records.
Qualifications and Requirements Certification:
Current certification through the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) is preferred. Candidates who are not yet certified must obtain ServSafe certification within three months of employment and ANFP certification within one year. The facility will cover certification expenses through an employee agreement.
Alternative qualification:
Registered Dietetic Technicians (DTRs) are also eligible for consideration under the title of Diet Technician.
Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience working in a long-term care environment is required.
