Apartment Assistant Property Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, strong and committed person to join our team. We are dedicated to hiring excellent employees who deliver exceptional customer service skills. We are seeking for a team oriented individual with professionalism, compassion, integrity and respect.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the management of efficient operation of the property.
  • Meet with prospective residents, identify their housing needs, show vacant and model apartments and property amenities. Conduct follow-up calls to prospective residents.
  • Prepare work order requests, follow-up on completed work orders and maintain working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Maintain working knowledge of leasing policies and procedures and perform functions related to leasing and lease renewals.
  • Ensure use of company polices and Fair Housing policies are implemented.
  • Prepare, code, process vendor invoices and submit for payment.
  • Collect funds related to applications, security deposits and rent. Operate and collect on delinquent accounts, initiate eviction procedures if necessary.
  • Conduct move-in and move-out inspections of apartments to determine charges for damages. Complete final deposit accounting of former resident accounts.
  • Prepare resident notices relating to renewals, violations, complaints and ensure resident files are accurately signed and organized. Job Requirements
Knowledge/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
    Licenses/Certification:
    valid driver's license is preferred, but not required.
    • Must be able to lift, carry , push and/or pull up to 25 lbs.
    Skills and Abilities:
    • Must have 1-2 years property management experience
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Basic office skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Professional attitude, appearance and work ethic
    • Excellent problem solving, listening and deductive reasoning skills
    • Self-starter and time management skills Knowledge in the following software is an added benefit: Yardi, Tenant Tech, Jetpack, Rent Cafe, Rent Grow Position is full time, Tuesday to Friday 9 - 6, Saturday 10 - 5 Competitive pay depending on experience + bonus program.
