Position Summary DuPage Credit Union is looking for an experienced Residential Lending Manager to lead our Residential Lending team and help shape the future of our mortgage lending experience. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the full residential lending lifecycle while balancing operational performance, regulatory compliance, business growth, and exceptional member experience. The ideal candidate is an experienced residential lending leader who understands the mortgage business, knows what it takes to build a high-performing team, and can translate strategy into results. This leader will have the opportunity to develop people, improve processes, leverage technology, analyze lending performance, and partner across the organization to help members achieve their homeownership goals. Key Responsibilities Lead the Residential Lending function by providing strategic direction and operational oversight across origination, processing, underwriting, closing, post-closing, servicing, and quality assurance. Develop and empower the team through coaching, performance management, career development, succession planning, and clear accountability for results. Drive lending performance by monitoring pipeline activity, production, service levels, productivity, quality, and key performance indicators to support business and financial goals. Manage risk and compliance by ensuring lending practices align with applicable regulations, investor requirements, agency guidelines, and Credit Union policies. Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, products, technology, efficiency, and the overall member lending experience. Build strong partnerships across the Credit Union and with investors, vendors, auditors, and other external partners to support lending strategy and organizational initiatives. Shape the future of Residential Lending by using data, market trends, and industry insights to support strategic decisions, business growth, product development, and evolving member needs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible residential lending experience. Minimum 5 years of progressive residential mortgage lending experience with broad knowledge of the mortgage lifecycle, including origination, processing, underwriting, closing, servicing, and secondary market operations. Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience with demonstrated success leading teams, developing talent, managing performance, and achieving business results. Extensive knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, investor requirements, and agency guidelines, including FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA, with experience supporting compliance, quality control, audits, and risk management. Active NMLS registration required, with strong knowledge of residential lending systems, technology, performance metrics, and operational processes. The role requires regular use of a computer workstation, including keyboarding, mouse use, viewing multiple computer monitors, and communicating through telephone and electronic communication tools.
