Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Program Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of our DD group home. This pivotal role involves managing care delivery, ensuring compliance with regulations, supervising staff, and fostering a nurturing environment for individuals receiving services. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in group home management, combined with strong leadership skills and a passion for enhancing individuals' quality of life. As a key leader, you will drive operational excellence while maintaining a focus on resident rights, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities Implement all residential DD waiver policies and procedures Ensure adherence to all DBHDS, DMAS, HCBS, and Human Rights regulatory compliance requirements Demonstrated leadership abilities Ability to effectively establish and maintain meaningful relationships Ability to coordinate activities and services to meet the on-going needs of individuals served Strong follow-through to ensure quality services, regulations and residents rights are upheld High energy, goal-oriented, and an ability to inspire others Foster open and supportive communication with individuals, families, DD waiver services and other community organizations and agencies Supervise Administrative Staff and Direct Support Professional including communicating information, and training/coaching. Evaluate job performance of Direct Support Professionals and foster team building and positive productive work relationships Understand and implement the Direct Support Professional Core Competencies. Serves as the point of contact for individuals receiving services, and shareholders. Work in partnership with the individuals receiving services and their service team to promote their health and safety including scheduling and transporting individuals to medical, dental, and other appointments. Provide on call coverage and ensure that appropriate coverage is scheduled and present in the assigned home. Creates and manages staffing schedule for an assigned residential program. Review and submit bi-weekly payroll time sheet approvals Request and secure maintenance and repair services, as needed, as well as ensures that furnishings are appropriate, sufficient, and in good condition. Ensure that the house is fully stocked with groceries, cleaning supplies, and office supplies Utilizes effective interpersonal, counseling and negotiation skills to handle sensitive issues with families, and staff. Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings Monitors and reviews all incidents and develops systems to ensure the health and safety of individuals at residential sites. Effectively communicate and support the organization's mission, vision and values. Provide positive behavior support to the people we support as necessary and document accordingly. Prevent, recognize, and report abuse toward the people we support. Always maintain a professional attitude, communicate in a respectful manner with all people including the people we support, supervisors, other valued team members, and members of the community. Complete all required training and demonstrate competency through application of this training in daily job duties. Maintain the confidentiality of the individuals that we support and that of the company. Maintain the assigned facility, order groceries and supplies Conduct monthly facility inspections Develop individual support plans and train staff according to the plans Complete daily, monthly, quarterly, and annually reports related to the individuals receiving service, staff, and program as directed Other duties needed to ensure the program operations are adhering to regulatory compliance and promote and protect individuals' rights. Experience Knowledge and understanding of DBHDS, DMAS, and Human Rights regulations required Must have an associate's degree and/or equivalent of 5 years of leadership dealing with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other cognitive disabilities often co-occurring with complex psychiatric or medical diagnoses in a human services supervisory position to include experience providing direction, development, and implementation of individual plan for supports direct supervision and monitoring of staff, preferred Valid driver's license in VA Strong verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills required. Able to establish and maintain effective relationships with individuals, staff, neighbors, volunteers, vendors, and the general public. Pay:
