Public Health Division Southwest Region is comprised of eight counties and works to promote health and wellness, improve health outcomes, and assure safety net services for all people in New Mexico. Why does the job exist? This position will manage and supervise staff in the Southwest Region Pathways Program which provides opiate replacement therapy with medication assisted treatment by Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone). Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of certified list. How does it get done? This position will be responsible for: Overall program management to include programmatic, policy, financial, staffing, scheduling, promotion and expansion. Supervision of program staff. Carry out special assignments and initiatives designated by Region Director. Who are the customers? New Mexico demographic population. Ideal Candidate New Mexico demographic population. Minimum Qualification Bachelor's Degree in Public Health or Education and two (2) years of experience in a health-related field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Successful completion of Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPPA) and successful completion of Clinical Laboratory Improvements Act (CLIA) are required within sixty (60) days of employment. Position will require Blood-borne pathogen training within thirty (30) days as condition of continued employment. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computed and phone usage. Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. Services are provided in a clinic with diverse population, many who do not speak the English language. Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Travel to satellite offices, meeting, training sessions, and special events with the occasional overnight stay is required. Supplemental Information Do you know what Total Compensation is?
