Job Description
Qualifications Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism/Hospitality, Urban Planning, Historic Preservation, or a related field is preferred. Relevant professional experience may substitute for formal education. Applicants should preferably have 2-4 years of experience in economic development, tourism, municipal government, Main Street programs, chamber of commerce operations, marketing, event management, or a related field. Compensation & Employment This is a part-time position paying $2,400 per month, with an expectation of approximately 20 hours per week . Normal working hours are generally Monday through Friday, approximately 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.; however, scheduling is flexible based on Town needs and events. Evening and weekend attendance will occasionally be required for Town Council meetings, community events, festivals, and other activities. The position includes 3-month and 6-month probationary evaluations , followed by annual evaluations. This part-time position does not include employee benefits or automatic cost-of-living increases. The position has the potential to expand in scope and compensation based upon the needs of the Town and future budget considerations.Pay:
