Converse County Aging Services (CCAS) is looking for an experienced, organized, and strategic Finance Director to oversee the financial operations of our nonprofit organization serving older adults and communities throughout Converse County. This is more than keeping the books. We're looking for a financial leader who can manage day-to-day accounting, strengthen financial systems, support organizational decisions, and help build a strong financial future for CCAS. And yes—you'll have to get used to seeing a jackalope around town. ;)

THE OPPORTUNITY

As Finance Director, you'll be an important member of the CCAS leadership team and will work closely with the Executive Director, staff, Board of Directors, auditors, and community partners. You'll help make sure the financial side of the organization is accurate, organized, responsible, and ready to support the services our community depends on.

Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing day-to-day financial operations. Preparing and monitoring organizational budgets. Preparing financial reports for leadership and the Board of Directors. Monitoring cash flow, revenues, and expenditures. Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable. Maintaining accurate accounting records and financial documentation. Supporting payroll and related financial processes. Assisting with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Coordinating with external accountants, auditors, and financial professionals. Supporting the annual audit. Maintaining and strengthening internal controls and financial procedures. Identifying opportunities to improve financial systems, efficiency, reporting, and accountability. Providing financial information and analysis to support organizational decisions.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who knows accounting and understands how strong financial management supports an organization.

You should bring:

Strong accounting and financial management skills. Experience with budgeting and financial reporting. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger activity. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. The ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial staff and leadership. Strong computer and financial software skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability. Experience in nonprofit accounting, healthcare, human services, senior services, government, or community-based organizations is highly valued. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant professional experience. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Starting salary: $70,000 annually , with consideration given to experience and qualifications.
