Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Medical Office Scheduler to join our busy practice located on West Baseline Rd in Mesa, Arizona.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction and supervision of the Practice Manager, the Medical Office Scheduler will set up office visits for patients and handle general, customer service inquiries. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED with at least 2 years' experience in a medical office environment. Experience in the field of Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine is a plus. The individual will have previous scheduling or insurance referral/authorization experience.

•An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed below, may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Medical Office Scheduler will work closely with other medical office personnel to: Answer incoming calls from patients Check in patients for office visits Schedule patient procedures and follow up visits Coordinate with facilities Maintain physician/anesthesia schedule templates Provide detailed directions to patients for preparations prior to procedures Support the overall goals of the company. Perform other job related duties as requested or required

JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Medical Assistant or equivalent education Experience working with an EMR or Centricity PM a plus Advanced knowledge of medical/GI terminology and insurance plans preferred Excellent attention to detail Ability to multi-task and to prioritize Excellent customer service and communication skills; both written and verbal Excellent computer skills Must have a good work ethic and the ability to work with minimal supervision Professional appearance and demeanor a plus Arizona Digestive Health offers competitive pay and an array of benefits (for full-time employees) including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and a Health Savings Account both with company contribution, and Paid Time Off. $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
