Job Description

Maintenance Coordinator (Planning & Scheduling)
Shift:
6:00 am, 7:00 am, or 8:00 am start
PAY RANGE
$20.00 -$28.00/hr (depending on experience) Under general supervision, the Maintenance Coordinator plans, schedules, and tracks maintenance activities to support equipment reliability and production goals. This role maintains accurate CMMS data, coordinates maintenance resources, and works closely with Operations, Engineering, EHS, Procurement, and contractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Maintain accurate work order, asset, and parts data in the CMMS. Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. Develop daily and weekly maintenance schedules, including shutdowns and planned outages. Resolve short-term staffing, equipment, and contractor scheduling conflicts. Coordinate on-site contractor and vendor work. Work Order & Maintenance Coordination Create, update, prioritize, and close work orders, including task breakdowns and required inspections. Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and EHS to resolve work order delays and corrective actions. Track safety concerns and ensure timely closure. Monitor job progress across maintenance shops, vendors, and calibration labs; escalate delays as needed. Ensure accurate documentation of labor, parts usage, failure codes, and asset history. Materials, Inventory & Tooling Coordinate material staging, kitting, and release for scheduled work. Track spare parts availability, purchase orders, and repair orders. Arrange specialized tools, calibrated equipment, and required permits. Ensure proper handling and storage of parts and repaired components. Communication & Compliance Serve as a liaison between Maintenance, Operations, EHS, and contractors to align maintenance schedules with production needs. Ensure contractors comply with company and EHS requirements. Participate in team meetings and provide status updates on schedules, backlog, PM compliance, and equipment reliability metrics. Support EHS compliance, audits, and safe work practices including LOTO, confined space, hot work, and PPE requirements. Reliability & Continuous Improvement Support equipment recovery efforts following unplanned downtime. Maintain job plans, SOPs, drawings, and technical maintenance documentation. Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. General Support Move materials and tools using carts, dollies, or hand trucks as needed. Support coordination of OEM and specialty service providers. Train and assist team members on CMMS usage, job planning, and standard work practices. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Two years or more experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, coordination, or production support in a computerized environment, or equivalent demonstrated ability. High School Diploma OR GED required Working knowledge of
CMMS/EAM
systems such as SAP PM, Maximo, or similar platforms. Understanding of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance workflows. Familiarity with maintenance resource planning, MRO inventory, and basic MRP concepts. Ability to read maintenance documents, schematics, P&IDs, blueprints, and job plans. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Outlook; reporting/dashboard experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
knowledge of
TPM, RCM, PM
compliance, MTBF/MTTR metrics, and contractor coordination. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform standing/walking tasks as needed.

$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
