N/A Why This Role Stands Out Work directly with surgical teams and physicians Be the key coordinator for end-to-end patient surgical journeys High-responsibility role with strong career growth potential Ideal for experienced schedulers looking to step into advanced coordination roles Key Responsibilities Coordinate pre-op, post-op, and procedural scheduling Verify insurance and obtain authorizations and clearances Ensure all pre-op testing and documentation are completed Schedule OR time, clinical staff, and required resources Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and departments Educate patients on procedures, timelines, and preparation steps Manage referrals, physician correspondence, and scheduling workflows Maintain accurate patient records and insurance details Coordinate with billing and workers' comp teams as needed Requirements (Strict) 2+ years of surgery/procedure scheduling experience (REQUIRED) 1+ year of insurance authorization experience (REQUIRED) Experience with Epic EMR (REQUIRED) High School Diploma or GED Flu vaccination required (no exemptions/declinations) Preferred Qualifications Experience as PSR or Medical Assistant Background in hospital or surgery center settings Experience with spinal or total joint procedure scheduling Ideal Candidate Highly organized and detail-oriented Strong understanding of surgical workflows Excellent communication and patient coordination skills Able to manage high-volume, high-urgency tasks Important Notes Must have direct surgery scheduling experience (non-negotiable) Resume must clearly reflect authorization + scheduling experience This is a temporary, onsite role Apply Today If you have the experience and want to be at the center of surgical coordination, this is your opportunity to step into a high-impact healthcare role . Have you worked directly with insurance companies to obtain surgery/procedure authorizations, including following up on pending or denied authorizations? This experience is required. Do you have experience scheduling pre-op/post-op appointments, health clearances, pre-operative testing, OR times, and clinical staff?
