Job Description

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an experienced LVN II to join our Santa Monica Pediatrics team. In this full-time role, you'll provide hands-on pediatric nursing care, including assessments, vitals, immunizations, and medication administration while using advanced EHR tools. You'll collaborate closely with physicians, RNs, and families to support treatment plans and ensure a safe, child-friendly environment. Drawing on a culture of innovation and continual improvement, you'll contribute to workflow enhancements, patient education, and quality initiatives, helping deliver exceptional care and a positive experience for children and their caregivers. Responsibilities Provide direct pediatric nursing care including assessments, vitals, and treatments Administer medications and immunizations per provider orders and protocols Document all care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) Support physicians and RNs during exams, procedures, and care coordination Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and follow-up care Maintain infection control and safety standards in all clinical areas Monitor patient status and promptly report changes to the care team Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and clinic operations for efficiency Participate in quality improvement and pediatric care initiatives Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to enhance patient outcomes Required Skills Pediatric patient assessment Vital signs monitoring Electronic health records (EHR) Medication administration Care coordination IV insertion and maintenance Patient and family education Clinical documentation Infection control Basic life support (BLS)
