This is a unique opportunity. We aren't necessarily looking for someone with funeral service experience — we're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, mechanically comfortable, exceptionally clean and organized, and takes pride in doing things the right way every single time. What You'll Do You will be responsible for helping manage each case through the aquamation process from arrival through completion, including: Receiving and tracking individuals entrusted to our care Maintaining strict identification and chain-of-custody procedures Operating our aquamation equipment Processing and preparing cremated remains Preparing urns and completed cases for return to families or funeral homes Completing and maintaining required paperwork and case documentation Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas Maintaining an exceptionally clean, organized and professional facility Monitoring supplies and inventory Communicating with funeral homes and members of our team Assisting with transfers and other operational responsibilities as needed Who We're Looking For The right person is someone who: Is incredibly dependable Notices details other people miss Takes pride in cleanliness and organization Is comfortable working independently Can follow procedures consistently Is comfortable around mechanical equipment and technology Understands the importance of confidentiality and dignity Can handle the physical requirements of the position Wants responsibility and ownership rather than simply a list of tasks Funeral service or crematory experience is helpful, but not required . We are willing to train the right person. What matters most is character, reliability and the desire to become exceptionally good at what you do. About The Green Cremation The Green Cremation provides water cremation, also known as aquamation or alkaline hydrolysis, to families and funeral homes throughout Connecticut. We are building something different — combining innovation with the personal care, dignity and responsibility that families should expect when they place someone they love in our care. Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
