The Chapter serves arborists, urban foresters, allied professionals, and partners through education, certification support, conferences, and member engagement. The organization's goals include:

  • Advancing awareness of the value of trees and urban forests Position Summary The Operations and Member Engagement Coordinator plays a central role in supporting the Chapter's mission by ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations while fostering strong communication, engagement, and service to members and stakeholders.
This position combines administrative coordination with communications, event planning, digital content management, and oversight of the Chapter's Member Management System (MMS). The coordinator serves as a key connector across staff, leadership, volunteers, and members helping translate organizational goals into well‑executed programs, events, and communications. This role is well‑suited for a proactive, organized, and adaptable professional who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and contributing to a mission‑driven organization. How This Role Supports the Mission The Operations and Member Engagement Coordinator directly advances the Chapter's mission by:
  • Supporting the delivery of high‑quality educational programs and conferences
  • Ensuring members receive timely, accurate, and mission‑aligned communications
  • Maintaining systems and processes that enhance the member experience
  • Providing operational support that allows leadership and volunteers to focus on strategic priorities Key Responsibilities Administrative and Operational Support
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for Chapter operations
  • Manage office processes, supplies, and vendor coordination
  • Support the Executive Director, Board of Directors, volunteers, and members
  • Maintain accurate files, records, and internal documentation Communications and Member Engagement
  • Draft, edit, and distribute internal and external communications (emails, newsletters, announcements, reports)
  • Support consistent messaging aligned with the Chapter's mission, values, and brand
  • Respond to inquiries from members, partners, and the public in a professional and timely manner
  • Coordinate communication timelines related to programs, events, and initiatives
  • Collaborate professionally with members, partners, volunteers, and leadership Event and Annual Conference Management
  • Plan, organize, and execute events aligned with the Chapter's mission and strategic goals
  • Manage event logistics including MMS setup, registrations, venues, vendor coordination, speaker support, materials, and post‑event follow‑up
  • Support promotion of events through digital and member communication channels
  • Coordinate onsite event logistics, including registration, bookstore sales, food service coordination, and event close‑out (Frequent multi-overnight travel required) Digital and Website Management
  • Manage the Chapter's social media presence across platforms, including content planning, creation, scheduling, and performance monitoring
  • Create, maintain, and update website content to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and relevance
  • Manage the Chapter's online store
  • Coordinate with the MMS provider and stakeholders on website enhancements and troubleshooting
  • Ensure digital content aligns with organizational goals and brand standards Member Management System (MMS) & Data
  • Maintain member records and databases, ensuring accuracy and data integrity
  • Support member onboarding, renewals, and ongoing communications
  • Assist in improving member experience through system optimization and process improvements Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in administration, communications, nonprofit operations, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities
  • Experience working with databases, websites, and digital tools
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Alignment with the mission and values of the Florida Chapter of ISA Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with a Member Management System (MMS) or CRM
  • Experience in event planning and coordination, including conferences or trainings
  • Familiarity with nonprofit or professional association operations
  • Experience supporting boards, volunteers, or member‑driven organizations
  • Interest or background in arboriculture, urban forestry, or environmental fields (not required) Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range:
40-60k (Commensurate with experience)
