The Expediter works inside the kitchen and is responsible for managing and calling tickets to the line. This person keeps track of incoming orders, clearly communicates what needs to be fired, calls modifications and special requests, coordinates timing between stations, and keeps the kitchen organized throughout service. We're looking for someone who is confident, organized, and comfortable taking control of the ticket board. You should be able to communicate clearly with cooks, keep track of multiple orders at once, anticipate what needs to happen next, and maintain smooth ticket flow during busy periods. Duties Read, organize, and clearly call incoming tickets to the kitchen line Communicate what needs to be fired and when Call modifications, allergies, and special requests clearly and accurately Coordinate timing between kitchen stations Track open tickets and follow up on items that are still needed Prioritize tickets and maintain proper order flow throughout service Communicate continuously with line cooks to keep service organized Coordinate with the front expo to ensure orders are complete and accurate Identify missing or delayed items and communicate them immediately Maintain an organized ticket area throughout service Help keep ticket times consistent and service moving efficiently Qualifications Previous restaurant experience required Previous expediting or line-kitchen experience strongly preferred Strong and confident verbal communication skills Ability to read and manage multiple tickets simultaneously Ability to stay organized and focused under pressure Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail Good understanding of kitchen timing and how different stations work together Ability to communicate effectively with both BOH and FOH team members Dependable, punctual, and comfortable taking control of kitchen flow We're looking for someone who can be a strong presence on the line and help keep our dinner kitchen organized, coordinated, and running smoothly from the first ticket through the end of service.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
