Automation Operations Support Associate Baker Group - 4.3 Ankeny, IA Job Details Full-time 18 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation High school diploma or GED Desktop applications Computer skills Productivity software Full Job Description PURPOSE The Automation Operations Support Associate provides essential support to the Automation operations team, ensuring smooth project execution and contributing to overall operational efficiency. This role is an entry-level opportunity with potential development into additional roles within the automation teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be constructed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Accurately gather, organize, and package components and materials for various automation projects (kitting). Operate specialized printers to produce high-quality phenolic labels and "chiclets" for control panels and systems, including managing print queues, loading materials, and performing basic printer maintenance. Provide general administrative and logistical support to the operations team, which may include organizing inventory, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, assisting with shipping and receiving, and other tasks as needed. Actively developing knowledge of automation systems, components, and processes, understanding the purpose of parts and their fit into larger systems.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
No Prior experience required High School Diploma or Equivalent
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Strong attention to detail. Reliable and organized; ability to manage multiple tasks and complete assignments on time. Basic computer skills and familiarity with common Windows Office applications. A strong desire to learn and develop new skills in a technical environment. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written. Ability to take direction and fulfill commitments. Ability to listen effectively, value the opinions of others and acknowledge contributions of others. Ability to communicate and work well with others at all levels across the company.
ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift 75 pounds occasionally May have occasional visits to a job site which would require periods of standing, walking and/or climbing stairs
