About the
Role:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Scheduler who is a certified nurse assistant (CNA) to support the health services portion of our campus, including skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care. Candidates who enjoy building meaningful relationships with staff, residents and family members will find great fulfillment in the role. The Assistant Scheduler ensures optimal staffing by developing, assigning, and posting work schedules for healthcare staff using OnShift scheduling software. Responsibilities include monitoring schedules, managing time-off requests, ensuring coverage, and verifying timesheets for accurate payroll reporting. As a key resource for staff, residents, and visitors, this role also supports administrative functions such as census and staffing reports, team member onboarding assistance, and special projects. Some on-call work is required. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain staff schedules using OnShift software Monitor and adjust schedules to ensure optimal coverage Manage time-off requests and verify timesheets for payroll accuracy Serve as an information hub for staff and visitors Provide administrative support including reports, onboarding, and special projects Participate in on-call rotation as needed Qualifications Previous healthcare scheduling experience is required CNA certification required Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and OnShift; experience with PointClick Care, UKG, or similar software a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail and problem-solving ability Ability to remain calm and tactful under pressure Must comply with HIPAA privacy and security rules Annual influenza vaccination or exemption request required. Compensation and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.80 - $26.80 per hour, and is based on experience. Two bonus opportunities per year are available.
